The CDR is pleased to have received notification of approval from Kansas City based Sprint, to provide technical and product support for the Bayer and WellCar projects.  A request was made by the CDR director, to the mobile service provider for support in the research being conducted on the connected car projects. The CDR had begun receiving support from Sprint UX, but was also introduced to the Sprint VELOCITY team by Julee Thompson, Sprint’s Chief Healthcare Executive. Jeff Uden of Sprint Connected Vehicles became the primary contact for the CDR and supported the collaborative efforts. Mr. Uden and two fellow engineers from the Connected Vehicle area presented an overview of the VELOCITY product and other Sprint technologies/services that will help in vehicle research and developing. Establishing the collaborative relationship with Sprint is one of the most important aspects for both projects since they are dependent on the ability to communicate through wireless data. Sprint has recently introduced its SPARK product which offers wireless data speeds far in excess of those offered by its competition.
